There are two books in the Principles of Mathematics curriculum:
- Level 1 (7th grade)
- Level 2 (8th grade)
The Placement Tests for each are entrance exams designed to determine whether a student is ready for a particular Level.
We recommend all students take the Level 1 Placement Test first - there are only 13 questions. If the student does well,
then the student should try the Level 2 Placement Test.
- If the student does well in both Placement Tests, they are ready for Level 2.
- If the student does well in the Level 1 Placement Test, but not so well in the Level 2 Placement Test, they are ready for
Level 1.
- If the student does not do well in either Placement Test, they are not ready for Principles of Mathematics and should review the concepts listed in the Level 1 Placement Test.
