High school vocabulary instruction focuses on preparing students with strategies to unlock the meaning of words they will encounter in content area texts, literature, and high-stakes-tests, including the SAT. Tests also introduce a Standardized Test Prep Preview section to give students practice with additional formats they may encounter.
These books are excellent for building vocabulary while strengthening reading, writing, and critical thinking skills—skills research concludes are necessary for success in grades 9-12 and beyond.

Though a 4th edition is now available, we have chosen to continue to carry the 3rd while we can. We feel it is more conducive to homeschooling rather than a classroom model of group learning for which the 4th edition has been created.
