From Adam to Us by Ray and Charlene Notgrass is a one to two year world history and literature course designed for students in grades 5-8. The daily lessons are written in a narrative style and richly illustrated with color photographs and maps. Primary sources, literature, and hands-on activities help the student connect with the history in a personal way.
The curriculum has thirty chronological units of five lessons each. Each unit has one lesson from each of five categories.
Major events in world history provide a framework for understanding different times and places. Examples include the Tower of Babel, the conquests of Alexander the Great, the invention of the printing press, and the fall of Communism in Europe.
Natural wonders God created have influenced history and culture. Examples include the Persian Gulf, Iceland, the Caribbean, and Tibet.
Historic landmarks demonstrate human creativity. Examples include the Pyramids, the Great Wall of China, Palenque of the Maya, and Easter Island.
Biographies of influential people in the areas of government, culture, and religion make history personal. Examples include Ramses II, Judas Maccabeus, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Queen Elizabeth II.
Daily life and the impact of technology and social changes are explored. Examples include developments in writing, life for a Roman centurion, porcelain production in China, and modern indigenous peoples.

From Adam to Us Timeline Book This timeline of history from Creation to the present is designed specifically to include facts learned in the lessons. After most lessons, your child will add one or more events to the timeline.
From Adam to Us Answer Key This includes answers for the Timeline, Student Workbook, Lesson Review, and the vocabulary assignments included in the main text.
