Shipping & Handling Policy
Let's face it, nobody likes to pay shipping and handling fees. Therefore, we strive to keep these costs as low as possible. Most of our products qualify for shipment via USPS Media Mail, which is nearly always the least costly way to ship books, audios, etc. Therefore, this is our default method of shipment whenever possible. Otherwise, we ship via the least expensive USPS mail option. Either way, you can expect delivery typically within 2-8 business days to addresses in the continental US (faster to addresses in the upper mid-west and slower during the Christmas season). Please contact us to request a different method of shipment.
Normal US Shipping and Handling Charges:
USPS Media Mail Shipping (Books, Audios, etc.)
- $5.99 on all orders up to $50.00
- 15% on orders greater than $50.00
- Free shipping of orders totaling $125 or more
Other USPS Mail Shipping (Non-Media Mail Qualified Items)
Shipping and handling charges are included in the online price of products which do not
qualify for USPS Media Mail shipping (games, science supplies, coloring books, activity
kits, etc.). These items WILL NOT affect the final shipping costs calculated at check out,
and they will be shipped separately from those sent via USPS Media Mail. For consolidated
shipping charges on multiple non-Media Mail items, please contact us before completing your
order.
Expedited and International Shipping and Handling Charges:
Please contact us by phone during normal business hours, or via e-mail, for delivery options and charges. A flat $15.00 shipping charge is added to all International orders at check out. After your order has been completed we will promptly contact you with shipping options and charges. If you then decide to cancel your order, all charges will be refunded.
Return Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with all of our products. We will be happy to
accept the return of any normally stocked item for any reason within 30 days of purchase
under the following terms and conditions:
1. Prior authorization must be obtained before returning any item. Please contact
us via e-mail to obtain authorization before returning any item.
2. If any items are received damaged, please notify us immediately and save all
packaging. Such items will be replaced free of charge, including Shipping &
Handling.
3. Items must be returned in the same condition they were received. Damaged, used,
or altered items (e.g., opened packaging of electronic media like Audio CD's, DVD's,
CD-ROM's, etc.) will not be accepted.
4. Please carefully pack the items to be returned. We are not responsible for items
damaged or lost during return shipment. We recommend Insurance and Confirmation of Delivery
for all returns.
5. Customers are responsible for the shipping costs to return items. (Except for
items which were received damaged.)
6. Items that qualified for free shipping via USPS Media Mail will be assessed
standard Shipping & Handling charges if the returned item(s) causes the original order
total to fall below the amount required for free
shipping (see above). This amount will be deducted before a refund is issued.
7. Returned items that included US Shipping & Handling in the online purchase price
(i.e., those which could not be shipped via USPS Media Mail) will be refunded the
in-store price, and not the online price.
8. Once your qualified returned item has been received and inspected we will issue
a refund to you including associated sales taxes paid. Please allow 1 - 3 weeks for
processing. Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable.
Please note that we cannot accept the return of special order items or internet download items.
