In this level, you and your student will confidently explore multiple digit addition and subtraction while mastering place value.

The Math-U-See Beta Instruction Manual is ideal for instructors who already own the Integer Block Kit, and whose students have all the necessary student materials including the Student Workbook and Tests Booklet.

Your student may be ready for Beta if they can:

• Count by tens
• Begin at any number and count to 100
• Write any number from 0 to 99
• Recall addition and subtraction facts from memory
• Use place value to identify the digits that represent units, tens, and hundreds
• Write mathematical expressions (number sentences) to represent a word problem
• Solve for an unknown in a simple addition or subtraction equation
